Having mentioned the factors that are important for investors to consider in Foreign Direct Investment, it is worth adding that there is no way of curtailing any shift that favors low labor cost. Surely, the UK cannot look to lowering its cost of labor for the sake of competing with some of the newer states. On the contrary, a positive response to a shift like the one mentioned here would be to look towards competition based on higher value levels and high skill.
