Third, the organization also needs to make some modification in the marketing mix that the organization offers in the market (Hollensen, 2007). To date, the firm has been working on the standardized approach, and although the firm has been getting the cost advantage through the use of such strategy, the fact is that the standardized approach could be termed as one of the big obstacles in the slow ticking of the sales within the organization. In order to get the desired sales growth and the market share, Avon need to adopt its different marketing mixes according to the Chinese culture (Data Monitor, 2010). For example, the choice of colors and shades are different as Anglo-Western women do like dark shades, however in Chinese women are more interested in soft colors and shades. In addition, the organization also need to change its communication and promotion approach and rather than airing the same standardized TVC that has been prepared for the UK or other European market, the organization need to prepare customized communication messages that has been tailored taking into consideration the Chinese women and their needs and aspiration (123 Help Me, 2010). Such a communication strategy will help Avon to better communicate the core strengths of the organization, and Avon products will be in position to better accomplish the sales growth and other targets in the country (Johnson et al., 2008).
